RIPE NCC Hosts Comcast DHCPv6 Bake-Off

news announcement

27 March 2007 - The Comcast interoperability workshop on the DHCPv6 server software recently released by the Internet Systems Consortium (ISC) was held at the RIPE NCC offices in Amsterdam on Friday, 16 March.

The workshop was attended by engineers from various organisations who developed DHCPv6 software. It enabled them to meet and discuss the software, check whether the software works with other implementations, find bugs and exchange experiences and ideas.

The event resulted in a set of recommendations that will be presented to the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). This will include a report on the performance of the various implementations.

The RIPE NCC provided organisational support for the workshop and as well as the venue for the meeting. Networking hardware and staff to help run tests were also offered. We hope to collaborate on similar events in the future.
