About CAPIF 4

The Central Asia Peering and Interconnection Forum (CAPIF) is a two-day event to support regional Internet interconnection and drive Internet growth across Central Asia, Iran and neighbouring regions. CAPIF 4 took place from 25-26 September 2025 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, with 328 attendees from 24 countries, making it the largest regional meeting to date.

CAPIF 4 was organised in cooperation with the Internet Association of Kazakhstan and the Association of Network Operators of Kazakhstan. Prior to the main event, on 22-24 September 2025, RIPE NCC training courses took place, including Basic IPv6 Security and IPv6 Advance. Additionally, 12 Certified Professionals from the region passed their exams.

CAPIF brings together ISPs, network operators, cloud administrators and data centre operators from Central Asia and Iran to discuss and collaborate on issues related to peering, interconnection and the development of the Internet infrastructure in the region.

The event is designed to support the needs of the peering and interconnection community from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Iran to neighbouring regions.
